There are many hotels within walking distance of OsloMet. Please check the Visit Oslo website for an overview of the options. As good alternatives in terms of price and location, we can recommend the following hotels:
For bigger budgets, we can recommend the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel.
3) Traveling to Oslo
We also recommend you to buy the Oslopass to get access to all public transportation (not airport transport), museums etc.: https://www.visitoslo.com/en/activities-and-attractions/oslo-pass/
Due to the pandemic, we recommend for participants coming to Oslo from abroad to check regularly traveling restrictions as they might change without notice.
In case you are coming to Oslo by train: Oslo Central Station is located at the City Center and close to OsloMet. You can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take the trams 11, 17 or 18 (leave at the Pilestredet stop).
In case you are coming by plane: the easiest transport from Oslo International Airport (Gardermoen) is by Airport Bus FB5 (stop Frydenlund or Radisson Blue Hotel). It will take well over one hour depending on traffic. You may also take the Airport Train and leave at the National Theater station. It is a 5-10 minutes walk from there.
4) Public Transportation
Check the Ruter website to know how to buy tickets.
You might also check the Oslopass. It gives you access to all public
transportation (airport transport not included) and to many other attractions in Oslo!
